Godfrey, A Melancholy Bear

Meet Godfrey, yet another Melancholy bear.


Why is Godfrey melancholy? Well, for starters, he lost his eye to a rabid chicken that went on a scratching rampage. He has tender feelings and is a bit self-conscious.

As if that wasn't enough, people now call him a pirate. This brings him low, for he is not a pirate, he is a pacifist.

Poor Godfrey!

Godfrey is made of polar fleece and is stuffed with polar fleece. He is a big softie! He has a lavender stuffed heart inside of his abdomen, and therefore smells like lavender!
Godfrey is no longer for sale.

A Melancholy Bunny: Danny Boy

This is Danny Boy. He is cute, he is cuddly, he is sad.



But why is such a cute and cuddly bunny so melancholy? Well, it is a truly heartbreaking story. One day, Danny Boy heard the pipes calling, and had to go. When he returned, his true love had died.
Wouldn't you be melancholic?

Danny Boy is made from recycled materials (except for his button eyes and the thread, duh.) He was once a sweater, but now he is a sad bunny waiting for someone to love him. He is stuffed with fleece and so is super soft. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the ability to dispel moths.

A Melancholy Bunny: Drystan

Drystan is a extremely cynical bunny. His name means "riot" or "tumult", and this, incidentally, is what he causes. Because of his rampant cynicism, not many of the other bunnies want to be poor Drystan's friend. No wonder he is melancholy!
Drystan came from an old scarf and is stuffed with lavendar, rice and barley. He is not for sale.

This is Arista, her name means "ear of corn", this is referring, of course, to her disproportionately huge ears. Why is she melancholy? No one is quite sure, but we know she had a repressive childhood.
